Miracles Happen!

Well it is the 16th of August and Abbi will be 13 days old tonight at 8:00 p.m. I think that we are doing really well despite the fact that we are all still functioning. :-) Without fail we have the most beautiful daughter alive and she is so sweet. Even when it is 4 am and she is screaming at the top of her lungs, because she is wet and wants to be changed right now while eatting. Jeff and I are just not fast enough and getting this all done in her eyes. Demanding child that she is!

Here is Abigail Christine Miracle about 45 minutes after she was born. We were back in the main room and everyone was coming in to visit and see her. Dad said that Jeff was so excited that he could not get Jeff to give her to him. :-) Overprotective dad already.






Here we are getting ready to go home, my favorite day of being in the hospital! Oh boy is that a treat, Jeff and I and a newborn baby stuck in 240 square feet, including the restroom! I never had even been out of that room in 3 days, sunlight was such a wonderful thing. It is amazing how many times someone can come and wake you up when you are sleeping to stick you with a needle, or better yet right when all three of us would get to sleep they would want to come in and take Abbi's temp. Of course everyone loves a screaming child at 3 am.




Here she is sunbathing when she was 5 days old. We were afraid she might be becoming a little Jaundice so the doctor had us lay with her in the sun. She loved it, nice and warm and sitting on mom or dad. Spoiled!
