August 24th! Daddy's Birthday!
We got up long after dad went to work
Abbi was not really in the mood to get up yet, but...
we had weigh in at the doctors!
Only good to go weigh in when the doctor is trying to make you gain weight :-)
Finally got her out of bed, dressed and off to the doctor we went. I was nervous because she was looking bigger and we had graduated into size 1 diapers from newborn but she needed to be above her birth weight. So we get in there, get naked (by the way she hates being naked) and plopped her on the scale.......
7 lbs 8 ozs!!!!!
we had gained 9 ounces....enough the nurse ran and got the doctor so he could come congratulate her :-)
We were very very happy so when we left the hospital we raced over to grab a few last minute gifts for dad and back home for NAP TIME! I like this part. Abbi was getting to go to her first babysitting gig that night with grandma and grandpa so Jeff and I could go to dinner
(and have my first glass of wine since November)
We met over at Grandpa and Grandma's and left our little Abbi for the first time. Sad, but the quiet time was nice....we definitly missed her though. Then off to dinner, Lawry's mmmmmmm.We had to hurry back though so that Jeff could open up his gifts.
Which I am pretty sure that he was happy because he got new golf shirts, and a new watch...oh with his TV to come if only he could get it home.
All in all a wonderful night and when we got back she was still in alive. My parents were able to do it all by themselves without us :-) Although, Abigail was sucking on Cousin Thomas's pacifier instead of her own, which has now disappeared.
